SMOK Nord Ceramic 1.4 Ohm Coils SMOK Nord ceramic 1.4 ohm coils replace the cotton-and-wire core of the standard Nord coil with a ceramic one. SMOK chose ceramic for its stability at high temperature: it says the coil is extremely durable and gives a clean, fully atomised taste. There are five in a pack, and they fit the same Nord-series pods as every other Nord coil. SMOK sold this as an optional extra, and it publishes less about it than about the kit coils – there is no official wattage. How to Fit and Prime a Nord Ceramic Coil Take the pod out and remove the old Nord coil from its base. SMOK’s claim is simply that ceramic is extremely durable. Customers who use them tell us the flavour stays consistent for longer than a regular coil, but results depend on the e-liquid and how hard the coil is worked, so we won’t quote a number.
